Need a spiritual boost? Try Daily Mass!
Dear All Saints Parish Family,
A most blessed Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity to all of you! The deep and powerful mystery of the nature of the Divine is inexhaustible, and I pray we are all humbled and moved to profound adoration as we consider both the complexity and the simplicity of so great a reality: God is Three-In-One.
Perhaps the best way to grow in understanding and in love of God is through Daily Mass. Offered with less ceremony than our Sunday celebrations, weekday Masses are often simpler, quieter, and shorter, but no less powerful. In fact, many saints and devout Catholics throughout history have drawn strength from attending Mass each day. So why consider making Daily Mass a part of your life?
- A Daily Encounter with Christ.
At every Mass, Jesus becomes truly present Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. To receive Him in the Eucharist daily is to begin each day with grace, strength, and peace that can only come from God. - A Centering of the Soul.
In a noisy and fast-moving world, the calm of a weekday Mass can be like a spiritual reset. Just 25 or 30 minutes in the presence of the Lord can realign our thoughts, calm our hearts, and help us face the day with faith and clarity. - Scripture Soaks In.
The daily readings follow a beautiful rhythm through the liturgical year. Over time, those who attend regularly find themselves becoming more familiar with the Bible, not just reading it, but hearing it, praying with it, and living it. - A Community of Quiet Faith.
Weekday Mass often draws a faithful “remnant”—a community of people quietly committed to growing in holiness. Attending alongside others who carve out time for the Lord each day can be a quiet source of inspiration. - A Sacrifice of Love.
Let’s be honest: setting an alarm a little earlier, skipping lunch, or stepping away from work isn’t always easy. But that sacrifice is part of the offering. Daily Mass teaches us to give not just on Sundays, but with the rhythm of our whole lives.
Whether you come every day, once a week, or just occasionally, consider giving Daily Mass a try this summer. Mass is heaven on earth. Why wait for Sunday?
Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever!
All you holy saints of God, pray for us!
Peace in Christ,
Fr. Michael Silloway
