MARRIAGE PREPARATION

The Joy-Filled Marriage program is offered in two parts which must be taken on two separate SaturdaysLiving a Joy-Filled Marriage, and God’s Plan for a Joy-Filled Marriage.  Both programs are concomitantly offered at the Chancery on the Saturdays listed below.  Both need to be attended in order to receive the marriage certificate, which will be given after attendance of the second part, God’s Plan for a Joy-Filled Marriage. Click here to register online.

“Witness to Love” is a new initiative based on the Marriage Catechumenate model encouraged by Pope Francis and St. Pope John Paul II. It combines a sponsor couple, picked by the engaged couple, and part two of the “Joy-Filled Marriage” workshop. More details and registration are available online.

All couples receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the second Saturday.

Understanding some couples may need more flexibility with two Saturdays, please consider www.catholicmarriageprep.com.

Catholic Engaged Encounter is an in-depth, private, personal, marriage preparation experience within the context of Catholic faith and values. The weekend is open to any engaged couple wanting to prepare for a deeper, more meaningful life together in a marriage recognized by the Catholic Church according to its Church law.

“Love Again” is a quarterly workshop that offers life-skills for couples who are marrying after a previous marriage. This includes couples in which one or both of the partners have experienced an annulment, being widowed, a civil marriage or anticipate a blending of families. “Love Again” combined with a second Saturday focused on sacramental preparation completes the marriage preparation process for these couples. Visit the Archdiocese of Atlanta website for registration.

Parish Verifications are requested for Catholic school applications, to be a godparent, or confirmation sponsor. All Saints needs at least six months of history to be able to confirm an active parishioner. Make sure you have completed your parish registration and are making a sincere effort to contribute to the church offertory.

Active Catholic Expectations

  • Celebrating the Sunday Liturgy with us on a regular basis.
  • Making a sincere effort to participate in some of our parish ministries.
  • Making an effort to tithe (5% to parish & 1% to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal)
  • Parish envelopes are provided for your convenience. Your use of them verifies your presence at the Sunday Liturgies & your financial support.
  • All envelopes are recorded & provide the pastor with the founded hope that you are an active member of the church.
  • Catholic Schools: We get many applications for Catholic Schools from people who state they are active members of All Saints. The pastor is asked to honestly respond in writing to each of these requests as the response impacts the schools decision. Only persons who are active members by the above criteria receive a positive response.
  • Sacraments outside of our parish: If you decide to have your sacrament performed outside of your parish, your pastor is required to honestly state in writing that you are an active registered member. Your active membership enables us to write such a letter.
  • Persons asked to be sponsors must meet these standards
