Hello, All Saints family! My name is Jack Skeean, and I am thrilled to be your pastoral year seminarian for the 2026–2027 school year! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your families, but here are a few details about myself in the meantime:
I was born in Atlanta and raised in Dacula, Georgia. I grew up in a non-religious household, and originally dreamed of making it on Broadway as an actor and singer. From 2016-2020, I attended the University of Alabama to study musical theatre performance, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in May of 2020. However, during my lowest moment in college, I had a life-changing encounter with the Lord that altered my life’s trajectory. I was initially baptized into a Protestant community in May of 2019, but was ultimately received into full communion with the Catholic Church in May of 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. From there, I quickly heard the call of the Lord to consider the priesthood. Although I was initially very hesitant, I discerned that the Lord was asking me to enter the seminary for the Archdiocese of Atlanta. I began my seminary studies in August of 2022 at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida.
In May of 2024, I received my Master of Arts in Philosophical Studies from SVDP, and I am currently working towards my Master of Divinity degree from the same institution. God willing, I will be ordained a deacon in the summer of 2028 and a priest in 2029. In my free time, I love singing and playing my guitar, cooking, exploring new places, and spending time with friends and family. I would like to extend my gratitude to God for his faithfulness to me and for the blessing of being with you all, and to Fr. Michael Silloway for allowing me be a part of your parish family for the next year. God bless you all!
