Want to learn how to put your faith in action? Then please join the Faith In Action group as we continue our series on papal encyclicals that shape Catholic social teaching.
Join us Monday, August 24 at 6:30pm in the Bride’s Room to examine Pope Paul VI’s 1967 Populorum Progressio — On the Development of Peoples. This encyclical is considered a cornerstone of modern Catholic social teaching. In it, Pope Paul VI declared “Development is the new name for peace”, arguing that economic inequality and poverty are root causes of conflict. 60 years on, is our global society closer to achieving the Holy Father’s vision for peace?
All adults and teens are welcome to join us to learn and share what Populorum Progressio has to tell us about living our Catholic Faith today.
