Does Your Spiritual Life Need a Boost?? If so join with the Emmanuel Prayer Group every Thursday at 7:30pm in the cry room in the church, as we worship, sing joyfully unto our Lord and break open the scriptures in order to encounter Jesus.

What is the Emmanuel Prayer Group? And just what do they do in the cry room for an hour and a half every Thursday? Well, just like Bowie Kuhn, past commissioner of Major League Baseball, said, we “pray audaciously for impossible things”. In his eloquent testimony Bowie states:

“I believe in the unfailing effectiveness of prayer. God has a mission for me, as indeed, He does for each of us. We have to figure out what it is. We are not left to our own devices in this search. Prayer is how we lift our hearts and minds to God and how we hear His answers, if we have faith enough to pray and listen. I pray a lot. I pray audaciously for impossible things.”

The group also searches to discern the gifts of Holy Spirit given to each of us personally and practice them under the direction of Fr. Tim Hepburn, Archdiocesan Liaison for the Atlanta Catholic Charismatic Renewal (ACCR). Emmanuel Prayer Group meets in the Cry Room on Thursday at 7:30 PM to 9 PM (following Benediction). All are invited and welcome to come. Feel free to join us once, twice or as often as you choose.
