When a natural disaster occurs in the United States and its territories, electronic donations may be made to Catholic Charities USA, which assures us that 100% of donations go to the local aid organizations. They and their member agencies respond to immediate emergency needs for such necessities as water, food, shelter and medical care, as well as to the long-term need to rebuild and recover after widespread destruction.
They also assist the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops with pastoral and reconstruction needs of the Church.

Catholic Relief Services’ vision is to promote social justice, solidarity and compassion through timely emergency and recovery actions that address the needs of the most vulnerable. As experienced first responders, CRS provides lifesaving help to get survivors back on their feet. Then they help people obtain the tools and skills they need to manage their own recovery to ensure long-term success.
The important thing is not the way you participate, but rather that you do.
The people of God in our Archdiocese are always incredibly generous in responding during these difficult moments. On behalf of Catholic Charities USA and Catholic Relief Services, thank you in advance for your participation in these important efforts.
May God bless all those affected by these catastrophic events.
